Spring Time Young

Spring Time Young

A Poem by Lei
"

Waking up to the charming sound of birds chirping to their young. Spring is the most recognized sign that life goes on and good things will always transpire. Cleansing is good.

"

SPRING TIME YOUNG

Spring time fun

When I was young

Puddle Jumps

my heart it thumps

To the beat of a shower

Where thunder would clatter

And spring is sprung

Oh- when I was young

the flowers sprouted

And children shouted

Come out and play

Watching the Geese lay eggs

Spring is here

Children scream in cheer

Fulfillment;

Great fun

Fresh air and lots of Sun

Oh- when I was young.

These are the things that make me most happy. I wonder why it is not my favorite season? Ironically my favorite season is Fall! Beginnings & Ends! Coincidence? Perhaps!

There's a lot more to structured poetry than rhyming. Like paragraphs, stanzas help the reader keep their place and organize thoughts.

Take a look at the excerpt on Amazon for Stephen Fry's, The Ode Less Taken. I think you'll find it helpful.
