Caught

Caught

A Poem by Ina Waltz

My bones were never light,

but you made them heavier.

The way you talked
made my skin fall apart.

Oh, I never stood a chance.

In comparison to your other works, this light poem captures very little in the way of your usual dark romantic style, and instead weaves a very simple tale of infatuation - girl meets boy who weighs her down - hidden meaning there? - and as I perceive it - when he speaks she sheds her outer mask and falls into his embrace.
