Sky blue reflections, lazy clouds

Images float on still waters

old gristmill, time in history

a testament to yesteryear

 

Late march chill, in these winds today

sky blue reflections, lazy clouds

fly fishermen dare cold waters

foam collects, at the fall’s base

 

Those days of gray, now in the past

the scent of the loosened spring soil

sky blue reflections, lazy clouds

thoughts lost in countless images

 

Sweet bird songs, as chipmunks skuttle

blue heron, replete in beauty

poised off the bank, time is all theirs
