As the Wheel Turns

As the Wheel Turns

A Poem by LeslieNoel
"

I love riding my bike through nature's lovely scenery!

"
Crossing through town, the tires turn
Riding over sidewalks and over cracks
With wisps of grasses of greens and browns
Growing precariously through cement slabs

With no destination in mind the bike pushes forward
As if propelled by windy fuel
Breath and blood work together
Scenery flies by
Bodies of water with shimmering currents
Glisten off the pupils of my eyes

And I am entranced
Forever captivated
Hypnotized
By nature's perfect masterpiece

Onward the wheels take me
Over hilltop and valley
All the way to the ocean's shore
Where seagulls float freely
In the cloud dappled sky

Sound and scene
Come together
To form a bliss so clear
More lucid than the eye can see

This is where I long to be
Riding along in this dreamy scenery
