Beautiful Version

Beautiful Version

A Poem by LeslieNoel

Encased in a cocoon
For an undetermined amount of time
I grew
My wings took root
And blossomed
Into a free floating
Fabric of dreams
Colors collided and birthed me
Anew
I floated upon the magic of the wind
Soared to greater and higher heights
For once I feel like my authentic self
Born from my mistakes and failures
But, also from lessons and values
Earned from those losses
I fly free
Because
am
me!

A very empowering poem in the acceptance of all the mistakes and victories that define you as a person. Growing from your errors and allowing them to make you a better human being. Very nice poem Leslie.

Much of our younger lives can be seen as time in a cocoon. The simile is telling, for during those times we make the mistakes that should be seen as lessons. Here, the lessons seem to have been learned and the results have been very positive. Well done.
