When We Fight

We fight

And parry

It all seems so scary 

And makes me wary 

Of who i am with you 

You're temper flares hurt

Around the issues we skirt

Running into your room 

To be away from your biggest trauma

The anger and drama

I do my best

But, it's not enough 

Soon I look to you 

And your chest is puffed

My emotions are stuffed down 

As my face wears a frown

As if to say 

Here we go again 

And my only relief is a pen
