Justification

Justification

A Poem by Leviathus Fortes

Do I destroy everything I've made
So they can't take it away from me
Do I let them push me out
Win, and walk away so silently

Events in question, just like a whirlwind
Spiraling out of control
Those who are lost and now forgotten
But not to me, that's how I'm whole

I remember all that happened
Yet they lie to me
You cannot manipulate my mind
I've photographic memory

Everything that has been done
It doesn't bother them one bit
Void of conscience and of morals
They tell me to go away, to quit

Forget I should of those events
Behind a door and close it tight
Yet I recall each and every moment
Whether in day or when at night

I know all, for I have seen things
True horrors of which they do not know
Ever pampered and elated
How could they relate to me

They have not seen what I have seen
Or been through what I have to live
So go about with your discrimination
Because you acting, all, like kids

Offensive, yes are many
For they have never seen the true
Look at me and they scream PARANOID
But I know me, and I'm not you

Put me into question
Try to justify yourself
I am secure of this, my true face
Yet your greed wants something else

Affirmation is unsettling
For myself, I never seek
But for you, it's how you're driven
And alas, I'm not that weak

My mind is a blessing
My heart is intertwined
I know who I am, it's called self-confidence
Go find your own, and I'll keep mine

Tear down one another
So petty is your heart
Before you point a finger
Look in a mirror, that's where to start

So little you think of yourself
Thus you must tear another down
Only you will be left standing
With noone else around

But you will build them to be stronger
As I am now living proof
I shall take all my years with me
I shall leave the scraps for you

So fight amongst yourselves like dogs
Wolf in sheep's clothing, I declare
Kill each other, just to have nothing
At this point, I just don't care

Always be second rate versions
Never have what once was mine
Get your priorities in order
I have a life, don't waste my time

Why should I endure the horror
When simply I could be set free
But alas, I can't, it's in my nature
It's justification just for me
