The Sweet Here After

The Sweet Here After

A Poem by Levi

This is from reading personal accounts of those who passed and returned.

The Sweet Here After

Grapevine of departed, heartburn of returned
A date with destiny, an epoch yet earned

Reawaken in a quake, heats your inner core
Purpose to construe, novel from before

Your fate has fallout, if you scheme and shake
Your soul pays a fare, if you slither like a snake

Details of life review, charming to finesse
Dark skeleton secrets, burning to confess

Meaning of your afterlife, pending on a chance
Resolving prior strife, your pivot circumstance

Journeys of philanthropy, passages so keen
Esteem of personality, your shepherd to redeem

Nice poem! this too connected with soul! "Your fate has fallout, if you scheme and shake
Your soul pays a fare, if you slither like a snake" Nice wording . the winding up lines too are authentic.

Thanks, I wrote this after I read accounts of Near Death Experiences
Nice use of words. It's like you chose a list of words that you intended to use in this poem. Furthermore, you've used them with great rhythm. Good job!

Thanks for your many reviews. I'm okay with criticism as well. Have a great day.
Loved the melodious flow of these words and the full body of this poem. And its subtle undertones not shy about the idea of death and the after life. Thanks for sharing. Frederick.
