They Will Worry

They Will Worry

A Poem by Alexa Tarvid

Swing swing,
I can see my breath,
I wish we didn't exist,
Then I could see the stars,

I want to go higher
But I cant,
Not while I'm writing,

They are cold,
The chains that hold my weight,
If I could warm them I would,
But instead they make ice
Out of my bone,

I shouldn't be out here,
They will worry,
But I don't want to go back,
I just wish to keep swinging
And watching my breath,

A ghost is here,
Rocking softly in the swing,
Its giving no warmth to the chains,
How selfish of you ghost,
How selfish of me,

They will worry,
But I don't want to go back,
I make smoke with my breath,
Swing swing,
Swing swing...
