I Am The Creature From The Night

I Am The Creature From The Night

A Poem by Into_The_Cosmos

Beware of the monser beneath your bed.

I am the creature from the night.
I live in the dark and hide from the light.

I grow strong when you grow weak;
Watch out dear because you're the one I seek.

My wrath and terror, I do say so,
Is quite, indeed, a scary show.

I creep and stalk on the innocent.
I smile and laugh at the small ones foolishness.

You better run and hide when I whisper your name.
But don't worry; it's only just a game.

You try to control my being; what fool you are.
You want to lock me up; go ahead, put me behind bars.

But be aware and pray I won't be in your sights
Because I promise you I will come back in the dead of night.
