Fever

Fever

A Story by Academy6
"

I've got a fever. They aren't helping.

"

Shivers are like earthquakes. Spasms are like rocky boats. Chattering teeth are like broken glass.

But heart ache is like death. So if you feel it everyday, all you feel is torture. Beds are boats that cause my stomach to shake back and forth. And the pillow is just pulling me deeper into the water.

My phone is just a reminder. Of the friends that are almost there for me. But that's not what I need.

I have a fever. And I can't stop breathing. And I can't stop thinking. And I can't stop crying.

I can't stop the screaming that's caught in my head. I can't stop myself from thinking that my life is all behind. I want my life back. But every time they leave they take it away...

and i'm left alone...

That's really deep and moving. It makes me think... About all the so-called friends that are never there and if I'm really there for my friends. I like it.
