Goddess

Goddess

A Poem by Lehlohonolo Lichaba

A real woman with soul gazes deep in your eyes in search for greatness

With no doubt or distress all she sees is brightness

Not cold like a breeze of a deserted island

Instead a paradise god made sweet land

A real woman with pride like a soldier, she stands for what she believes in

In a battle she knows what to put first not just a pistol

Smooth words of joy, sweet melody of her voice,

Kind touch of an angel, she’s a goddess in disguise

A human description of an angel is what she is.

Sleepless nights she stays to less my troubles,

Her love is infinite no labels

She is the light that carries me home,

So happy, so strong and so proud.

Her touch leaves footprints of her greatness like a true leader she is.

Warm touch in cold nights is what she gives

Light in darkness is what she provides

I’m safe in her arms; near her heart is where I will reside

Very sweet and poignant...it sounds like she was everything a son/daughter would want a mother to be...I know how it feels to be short one parent as well, with my Dad dying this spring...a very special piece of writing, I'm surprised you've gotten no reviews on this yet...definitely one for my library though^^
