The Fight Against Fear

The Fight Against Fear

A Poem by RachelReaper
"

I personified "Fear" to be as a person of sorts, and used a battle theme. Hope you like :)

"

The Fight Against Fear

Plunge the sword

Fire the arrow

Stab the dagger

Throw the knife

Launch the spear

Straight into

The heart of Fear

Let yourself be heard

Raise your voice

Share your words and ideas

Make your dream

Grow louder and louder

Until it turns

Into a battle cry

You're in this war

The same as I

So create the winning side

Do not falter

Or be scared

Nor hesitant or ashamed

Be who you are

And live it out

Lead your army on

To be courageous and strong

And nothing

Can lead you astray

Be more afraid

You will go through life

Without doing anything

Worth a damn

Than dying young

It's better to live

One moment of

Noble bravery

Than a lifetime

Being cowardly

And forever

Live together

Die alone

Know your friends

Charging with you

On this great battlefield

But face your opponent

One-on-One

Bring justice

To the things

Fear has done

Watch as he falls

To his knees

And you have earned

Another victory

Celebrate this win

By marching your parade

To be against conformity

And the plagues

Of today's society

And be indifferent

To their safe formality

You are raw

You are real

And you are you

As I am me

So what will

Fear do when

You say

"I'll never surrender."

What will he do

When you say,

"I've beaten you

And you'll never

Be my controller."

This war will not

End today

Or tomorrow

Or the day after that

This is an ongoing fight

And we must all

Beat Fear

Every day of our lives

I think this is a good piece. It is very well put together and I can tell you spent a lot of effort on this aside from being naturally talented. I love how you relate to fear as something you must battle and conquer as if in a battle. Aside from that, Its very inspirational and moving.

wow, reading this brings heaps of comfort, very powerful.
The words just keep flowing and flowing and when you think your moral support ends it keeps going, really comforting for me.

Thank you!

I LOVE it! How do people write like that? I've tried but it's never been quite satisfactory. You are really good, wish I could write like that.

this was very well written from what i could see. as far as fear goes, EVERYONE can relate. even someone that barely has fear. however, people rarely take control of their fear, letting it control them instead and lead their lives. we all should try to help those people instead of causing war because we fear them or desire something from them.
