There You Are Again

There You Are Again

A Poem by RachelReaper
"

my attempt at a girl-ish punk rock song

"

There You Are Again

How many times

Topping today

Have I told you

To stay away

But no

You just

Can't wait

To get under my skin

Again

How much time

Was wasted

Spent on you

To make your exit

But I have to say

You're relentless

*For reals?*

Because every time

I turn around

There you are

Following without a sound

A shadow, nothing more

Who needs to find some freaking

Solid ground

Dude, this is getting weird

Not to sound like a jerk

But the way you lurk

It's not sexy...

It's just creepy...

So here's to another

F*****g girl

To tell another

F*****g boy

To take a hike

But that stupid

F*****g girl

And that same

F*****g boy

Can't seem to take a hint

And get it right

*Oh, so what, now you're telling me it's the circle of life?*

Because every time

I turn around

There you are

Following without a sound

A shadow, nothing more

Who needs to find some freaking

Solid ground

Because every time

I turn around

There you are

Following without a sound

A shadow, nothing more

Who needs to find some f*****g

Solid ground

Dude, seriously

Not to sound like a jerk

But the way you lurk

Is not sexy

Trust me

It's just creepy

*What the hell are you doing?*

Author's Note

RachelReaper
the italicized words represent talking instead of singing. well, this was my attempt at a girl-ish punk rock song, but give me your honest opinion about it. I thought it was kind of Avril L. or something Pink-like when I was writing it. Opinions? Please review.

I'm not familiar with punk rock song writing, but I like the write overall. The repetition works and the subject is creepy-good. Like this one alot.

Stalkers...I used to be one...this is freakin cool. Don't worry. I don't stalk anymore. It definitely reminds me of Avril L. "But the way you lurk is not sexy trust me it's just creepy." Lol. :D

I like the f**k you aspect to this, nice! i'm a huge punk rock fan and definitely I found this more Avril Lavigne style than the prior but it brought me back to my girly younger years and I definitely still think this is good. :)

It is easy to keep a beat and tune, and the talking pieces make it original. Well done.

No problem.
I like it. I could kind hear it in a sing-song way as I kept reading it. I like the language , too, it read really well.

I like it. I tried to think of the music in my head and I would listen to this if it was a song.
