Chasing

Chasing

A Poem by Lighthouse Call
"

Funny thing, I don't even remember writing this. Probably written on one of those drunken nights. God knows for how long I've had this without any knowledge of it's existence.

"
Come closer
I just need to lean on someone
I'm tired
I really thought that I was stronger
And I'm chasing
The traces of scent that I pick up
But it's fainting
And I feel so lost.

You slap me with your paradise
And you smile as you walk ahead
While you leave me hanging over there
Sleeplessly in my bed
Should I give up or should I try harder
If you want me to follow, don't walk any farther
Cause I can't keep up with your pace
Yet I just cannot, I cannot quit this chase..

I find this very emotive and artistic. You seem to have existential themes running through your being, in addition.
