The Lost Fairy

The Lost Fairy

A Poem by Linda
"

old

"

Darkness is coming out

As the sun is going down.

She flutters her wings

Trying to go through the leafs and twigs

Running away as the fire comes through the woods,

Making everything into shrubs.

The panic in her face;

Terrified as she tries to pick up the pace.

Smoke fills the air.

Animals run and howl in despair.

I watch it all happen.

Not able to do anything but wait for it to end.

I am trying so hard to control the fire

Trying but it is hard, poor her. She’s tired.

I tell her it’s my voice she needs to follow.

I sense her heart beat pound louder as she gets closer.

Wait, I can't find her!

She was just there!

I need to get her away from the fire or she’ll get burned!

She wants to escape! It’s what she yearns.

I want to help her from everything, and tell her to stop crying

But the fire is too strong.

I though help but i was wrong.

I sit with her as we feel our flash burn and face death.

We up again...

A new life,

Where everything is alright
