Erica

Erica

A Story by Lindsey
"

Another friend I wanted to see how I'd write them in a story.

"

She was sitting alone on the first day when I walked into the class room. I noticed her first because she had big fluffy white and black hair that just screamed ‘play with me’ when I saw it. I didn’t know anyone in this class so I took a deep breath, walked up to her, and said hello. She looked up at me with a sparkle in her pretty brown eyes and smiled when she answered. Her voice had a silly and excited tone to it that made me smile, something about the vibe she gave off made me feel warm inside, like this was a person I could trust. Her name was Erica and over the next few weeks we became good friends as I got to see all of the silly, sarcastic, and fun aspects of who she was. It wasn’t hard to know she would keep any secrete you had to share, but discovering her complete lack of judgment towards anyone’s decisions or feelings only made her even more fun to be around. She was the kind of person who understood that everyone is different and deserves a second chance, but also knows where to draw the line. The kind of person who knows her own flaws, and who tries to better herself as much as she can while also doing her best to help everyone else. She has her secretes, like the things she hides under her wrist warmer every day, but she doesn’t let them drag her down and that’s something I think I’ll always respect about her.
