Take Me Away

I understand what it means to be hungry..

Take me away as far as you can

I want to see the world, in all its gorgeous colors

Beautiful colors I’ve never seen

like the changing of the leaves, or the clouds in the sky

Is someone out there waiting for me?

I hope so because I can’t live this alone
Whispers all around the trees singing of patience

Wait, little girl, it’s not your time yet

a little longer

a little more time to play

Take me away. I want to see the world
