My Mother's Hands

My Mother's Hands

A Poem by Wild Willow Blue
"

Happy Anniversary..

"

These lines tell us a story

one of healing

of beauty

and of life’s hard work

They teach us what we don’t know

and they never stop

They push us to learn

to ride those bikes

and cross those streets

and to do it by ourselves

We never really know

how much they influence our lives

until we look

really, pay attention

Take care of the hands that raised you

they made you great
