That time of Year

That time of Year

A Poem by Beth Lindsay

Inspired by my last periods of the day. Summer draws very near.

Its that time of year
when the end is near
and students have to face their fear
Their lack of attention is now clear

With a thick booklet
and a timer set
For not studying, they now regret
For not remembering, they begin to sweat

For now the thoughts of summer will have to rest
First they must pass the test

It's that time of year
When summer draws near
But yet every student sheds a tear
