Ship graveyard

Ship graveyard

A Poem by Pixieblue
"

A small poem about the feelings when you see something marvelous, just left.

"
Don't you just get that feeling,
a sad momentary loss.
Of looking at something once wonderful,
that's just been left to rot.

Its like the ships have voices,
they start shouting out to me.
That their lives were once extraordinary,
when they were once at sea.

All at once ill start to sigh,
while looking at their corpses.
Nothing should be left to die,
that once was roaring with voices.

So sake the time to say goodbye,
to these unwanted wonders.
To the ones who used to fly,
before they died down under.

Wow, beautiful writing. Reminds me of a poem i once read about a great king who believed could reign forever and then he died and all that remained were pieces scattered on the ground of what used to be his great statures that looked into 'his' city. Its amazing to think that even such great creations that for a while boasts with their big muscles and great voices will as well be ruined and seize to exist like everything else. Everything that flies will one day land. Great write.

I get this feeling when I come across the giant stumps of old growth forest trees. Wishing that I could step back through time and see the Earth in all it's glory, rather than just viewing the remnants and a distant memory.

Great Poem!
