Bloodflowers

Bloodflowers

A Poem by Karoline Lesande

Some people are so frail that they self-destruct and bleed,
they pull you in seductively, only to mislead.
Restless souls are hard to handle, still you want to try,
is it the magic in their eyes, a spell you can't defy.
You step into the wilderness to tame a roaring beast,
will you find it from its hiding place and lure it out at least.
Just when you think the battle's won the beast tears you apart,
bloodflowers are too poisonous, they wreak havoc on your heart.

Thanks for reading :)
A great poem! The rhyming was great and what you wrote about is very true. Sometimes they'll change and sometimes they'll never change. I really enjoyed the line about self-destructing too, it really caught my eye and pulled me into the poem. Great job! (:

Mostly never...Thanks for reading Colacat!
Some spirits can:t be caged, they can't be grounded. You have to accept them for what they are. Sometimes they may linger for quite awhile before they seek other resting places. Great write. Inspirational poetry.
