One Sided Conversations

One Sided Conversations

A Poem by Lizzie A.

One Sided Conversations

You didn’t have much to say

I didn’t need to hear it

I could see it in your eyes

One sided conversations, but you were listening

And you taught me

I grew

Four years

Now it’s time to say goodbye

I’m happy for you

No more pain, no more suffering

Speak what you’ve wanted to say for

These last four years

So many questions about this piece and it had me wanting to know more. I could feel the emotion from each line but it had me wanting to know for who and what happened to them. Like there was more needed for context. But I do like the heart of this poem.
