I AM Lizz

I AM Lizz

A Poem by Mercury Mirrors
"

It's ME! I know the grammar is slang, but I wanted to be loose & relaxed for a while so enjoy my song! WOOT!

"

I’ve been a rebel since I was born.
I’ve been around, my shoes are well worn.
No one tells me how it is,
This is me & I am Lizz.

If you don’t like it then tell it to my face.
If I don’t like it here I’ll move to the next place.
No one tells me what to do,
Not my parents, my man & not you.

I’m a redneck & a goth chick all in one.
One day I’ll make myself ‘someone’.
No one tells me I can’t make it.
I’m always real, I don’t fake it.

My poetry & roses keep me alive.
I stand through situations where most would die.
No one tells me I’m not strong enough.
I’m sweet but I come off as rough.

I tell it like it is, no matter the occasion.
My personal space won’t stand for invasion.
No one touches me without my permission.
I’m a little soldier here on a mission.

I hate violence, war, & fights,
But mess with me & I’ll punch out your lights.
No one tells me when to stop.
While this world spins, I climb to the top.

I’m from a good old southern town,
I don’t let anybody get me down.
No one can call me cheap or sleazy.
I dress like a pin-up girl but I ain’t easy.

I’ll keep on doin’ my thing ‘till the day that I die.
My funeral will be jumpin’ you better not cry!
No one will tell me I’ll go to hell.
I’m just livin’ life & livin’ it well!

Okay, for lack of time, (and most of all for the sake of nostalgia for my angsty and self-absorbed teenage years), I have ripped one of those ancient myspace surveys from the forgotten planes of the i.. more..
