Too Soon

Too Soon

A Poem by S. Waldo

Young life never known
Your joys we will never share.

We planned to see your plays
To watch you march in band.

Taking you to college, watching you walk across the stage,
To be there saying I do on your wedding day.

I would have been at the hospital
When you had your first babe.

But instead, we say our final farewell on this,
Your 1st birthday.

This very is very sad, but beautifully written. Assuming it's true, I wish you comfort and healing.
