Looking into the sunset of life

Lost in waves of silent thought,
Remembering time and right or not,
As the sun dips out of sight,
Memories wave into the night,
Lost in dreams, silent no more,
Whispering waves upon the shore,
What conclusions l must make,
Upon the dawn, this day awake,
Bring to light the bitter truth,
Shattered dream of forgotten youth,
At the end of this long day,
May Gods gift guide my way...

Whispering waves reads like a reflection of life in the sunset of the author's days. Maybe realising that life has passed by all too quickly. I think any will relate to those lines.Nicely expressed.
