Confessions of a Cub

A Poem by LonelySoul
"

Last White Bear Pt. 2

"

While mom was talkin' I slipped in,
the man looked at me and began his grin,
so wide and bright it looked like snow,
who was this man,I Just had to know...
he threw some fish he'd dried in the sun,
and let me eat untill I was done,
then scratched my belly when I wanted some fun,
was the White Wolf right,is This the One?
While mom was talking I fell fast asleep,
safe in his hands, like my mom would keep,
alone in his lap, my little nap, was a deepsleep...
Then I awoke in my sleepy rhyme,
forgot that I'd been here a very long time,
I went to my mom, still flappin her Jaw,
and asked her to ask him,
will Congerss pass a new Law?

Endangered list does little good,
if they keep melting ice flows
and Us loosing our food...
the birds and seal, well they eat fish,
when those are gone will we have a wish?
Please Mom,ask, those magic lights in our sky,
what wonders and wishes are granted You and I...???
