Memories

Memories

A Poem by Gabby

In this filthy city
You say I am so pretty
When I am not
Because when I was young
I wore a frown
In a big old town
That I keep in the back of my memories
And those memories bring back memories
Of a time I was hopeless and alone
I still am the same
In simple little ways
I lay in bed and cry at night
Wishing you'd take my hand
And fly me away,
You are a memory of my memories
That had memories
Sweet, angry, blissful, sad memories
Brings me to the time where I was the worst
You made me alive again
Dropping me back down to my misery
Which will become another memory of a memory
When I am happy once again
