Do Not

Do Not

A Poem by Lilith

Down the long halls,
I see your face.
What a face I long to see when I wake up,
to when I fall into my slumber.

I notice--
that you don't look back.
Do you get nervous?
Do you feel the butterflies too?

It's now lunch,
I ask for a hug. You do hug me,
but not embrace me,
like you once did.
You show no care in my presence,
like you once did.

You do not adore me.
You do not enjoy me..

You do not love me.

When love is gone. Goes to final death too quickly.
"You do not adore me.
You do not enjoy me..
You do not love me."
The above lines. Lover's grief and lasting memory. Thank you Lilith for sharing the excellent poetry.
