Addiction

Addiction

A Poem by Lorenzo

I’m too sober to write this poem

I blame my heritage from a family of addicts

Crush a pill my mind soars to the clouds

Such a small pill yet more valuable than gold

Let’s crush it and snort it with a dollar bill.

The addiction is worth the risk besides I have a script

Every particle of my body has melted away

I’m too high to write this poem.
