Secret Demons

Secret Demons

A Poem by KimLove "The Beautiful Butterfly"
"

The type of secrets that tear your soul apart...

"

I have secret demons
I live with them night and day
They live in my head
Everytime I smile
I hear one whisper I remember what you've done…

I have secret demons
Who now own my heart
Everytime I start to care
They slowly  begin to pick it apart
One slightly whispers don’t you begin to start

I have secret demons
I try to keep at bay
Everytime I think I’m winning
One whispers
We’re not going away, we're always here to stay

My secret demons want to spead the truth
They care not who they hurt
My secret demons just want to be released
On the world to wreak havoc
They don’t care who they hurt.

As long as I never love another
They can never be released
So no tears can be shed
No love can be shared

I have secret demons who want to be release… to tear our love apart....

I can really relate to this.. :/ the flow and wording is great, and you can feel the sadness and anger. A very haunting peice.

Don't we all have those demons? Relatability. That's the best part about this. The thing that I loved most was that it made me think of my own demons. How those demons would haunt me day and night until I got fed up. I couldn't take them haunting me and I banished them.

Sometimes not letting someone in is our only way of protecting them. We do not want our problems to become the other person's trouble. I know that feeling. That's what I took from the poem. Emotional write, nice work...

I think to some point everyone has secret demons but if you try hard enough they can make them vanish with time. I love the style of this poem and the words you have used.

But What If I Am That Demon? What If You Become That Demon Instead Of Fighting It.
This Can Reflect On Alot Of Us Who Have The Demons At Bay.

Just Hold On And Keep Fighting For They Are Fading Away Within The Light.
But Shadows Are Different Than Demons They Are Forever.

I Like This One. Good Job

This is beautifully written, yet so sad and soul-stifling. How terrible to be held captive by secret demons that thrive because of fear to love another. Set the captives free! LOVE AGAIN! LAUGH AGAIN! Cast the demons into the echoes of the past.

Excellent insight.
