Sharper than Sweet

Sharper than Sweet

A Poem by Blue Moon Ice Cream

Soft and supple,
Red as cherry pie
Lace of liquid crystal
Overlays its fragrant skirts

I've got this notion
That if I stab its thorn
Into my thumb
I'd bleed ecstasy.

The title really makes this poem. The union of a painful touch with a pleasant taste is an unusual mingling of both sensory modalities and pleasure/pain. Like some kind of synaesthetic sadomasochism.

"I'd bleed ecstasy" really punches the meaning to the heights attained by the title.

I like it. :)
Very inventive descriptions, and it's short and succinct.
