Beautiful Passing

I apologize for leaving you
And making you face the nights alone.

But please know,
That I am with you.

I am in a paradise far away.
Please understand, that I have never left.

I may be gone,
But my spirit and memories will always remain.

There they will always be
And lie in your heart.

Now that death has grabbed me,
It will help me guide you from a better place.

Not to worry, I am not in pain,
Nor despair.

I will always be here to guide
And help remind you of you who are.

Please know,
That death can be a wonderful thing.

It may hurt,
But is possible to overcome.

Now that I have gone,
I hope for you to someday accept my passing.

To help you cope
And move onto happiness.

Author's Note

A conversation with a friend about Death inspired me to write this piece. He tells me how he has never been to a funeral, due to such fear of Death. That saying he, himself is a coward for not going to any. But I simply tell him that Death is inevitable and effects everyone eventually, but is able to be accepted and overcome. And once you are able to accept Death for what it is, you will then know the true meaning and see that it can truly be a beautiful thing.

Yeah, it's a tough subject for one to bring or focus their thoughts upon. But it's something all should consider giving good thought every once and awhile.
