To the Boy I Glimpsed in the Store:

A Poem by CatOfOrion
"

I believe this is what one would call "infatuation." Course mine is of the odd variety.

"
Before I knew what I was doing,
my eyes were locked.
You've captured me.
Enticed me with your air.
Such pride, holding your chin like so.
Your elven features peak my interest,
my eyes are still held by your
high strung cheek bones.
Your torso reminds me of a slim birch,
yet you march like a soldier.
A stone thrown to the wind.
Such black crevices,
those eyes of yours.
And to my embarrassment,
those eyes were boring into mine.
You've noticed my gaze,
and stare me down brazenly.
Red has poured itself in my face,
I can feel the heat-
yet I feel no shame.
No, I'd like to paint you more than ever.
Capture the essence that so well
captured me.

Author's Note

CatOfOrion
This really happened.
I wrote this on my iPod on the walk home
And I really can't stop thinking about this boy,
I really just want to paint him.

It seems over the night though, I've forgotten his face.
It's sad, really.
