Give life an unexpected turn!

You look at that one person, the one person you've set your eyes on.

That one person had you captivated ever since you first saw them.

That one person is the reason you look forward to going to school.

That one person gives butterflies in your stomach every time you hear their voice. 

That person can make you smile just by being with you.

That person is the one that stole your heart.

That person is the one that is perfect for you.

That person is in a relationship, and not  with you. 

Your friends tell you that they aren't right for you.

They say that you'll find someone better. 

You smile, nod, and say that they're right.

But inside, you know that you won't find another person like them.

You're broken up deep inside, and you know you will be forever that way, if that person isn't with you.

You smile, wipe away your tears, and continue on with your life.

You support that person from the shadows, protect them, and push them on.

You protect the one that that person loves, even though you are jealous. You protect them because you know that person would as broken as you are without the one they love.

You've found a new strength, the strength to protect someone.

You stand up with this newly found courage, and march forward, knowing

That one person has changed your life.

You've become their silent guardian, broken, yet strong.

This is the true meaning of love. To be able to overcome jealousy and be there for that person and even be there for the people that that person cares about. To be able to give up your own happiness for that person's sake. This piece tugs at my heartstrings. I like this. A LOT.
