I wrote this because my sister just gave birth to her daughter a few days ago. This is how I hope to feel once I become a mother.

It's amazing how much love I have,

For someone I have just met,

Looking into her eyes,

I know what a miracle is now,

She looks up at me and grabs at my finger,

With her small, precious hand,

I cradle my angel in my arms,

Her little head lying upon my chest,

I've waited my whole life to find my place,

To know my purpose,

I feel it now,

I am meant to be a mother,

To this heaven-sent child,

Whom I will call Linda,

For she is beautiful.
