sea of change

sea of change

A Poem by Lydia Shutter

DglsMcMffnPnts Studio on etsy.com

weaving nothingness into loveliness

time dances to the rhythm of an hourglass

suddenly courageous souls blossom

into a bouquet of uncharted territory

writing tomorrow's mystery

now is the time to laugh and love

to drink a cup of mellow wine with me

time will shift her rhythm, my friend

‘tis then our seemingly drunken dreams

will sail gracefully through a sea of change

Amazing Lydie, love this one, reminds of that movie Unfaithful when he quotes from the book,
'It is the season for wine, roses and drunken friends... Be happy for this moment... This moment is your life.' I don't recall who the author was but I was taken by that one, as I am your lovely poetry here. Brava!

I enjoyed your use of metaphors here. Time is dancing to the rhythm of the hourglass as the Fates are weaving yet uncharted patterns of events where courageous souls blossom on calm seas of change, but they drink wine so their dreams may sail gracefully through approaching storms as well.

I really believe in this short and lyrically lucid piece, you have written something quite special. I finished reading with a Wow. The message and the 'seemingly 'effortless yet stylish way you deliver and ode Joie de vivre is enviable. I envy you and this. I keep thinking you should RR me so I don't have to wait to see in on the title page but I will subscribe instead. Really fantastic work, Lydi**

It's always so fun to read your poetry, or re-read those that I have enjoyed before. This is just as nice this time as before. Greatly enjoyed. Trace
