the cosmos has assembled

         over here

                  step right up

                                    climb the sun’s ladder of dust

                  the line forms to the right

         don’t be shy now

take your chances

         spin the wheel

                  round and round she goes

                           where she’ll stop nobody knows

                  except madame fate

         and she harbors no intention

of revealing her hand just yet

ah, but admit it

when the orb descends coquettishly

you too will be mesmerized

         hoping

                  anticipating

                           2016 will open her arms

one more time

         the world will be saturated

                  with hope and possibility

                           so spin the wheel my friends

                 be daring

                           yes, take a chance
