my skin remembers

my skin remembers

A Poem by Lydia Shutter
"

it's friday night!

"

my skin remembers

the electrified intimacy

soft as velvet yet wielding an unrivaled intensity

yesterday was blurry

tomorrow was a naked page

and that day, well, that day was a flower blooming

a peach ripening to its juicy best

yes, my skin remembers

it’s true…. from this standpoint of long ago

and so very far away

                even behind my foster grants

the memory continues to electrify

Woah! If feelings are ravishing and passionate, words bring them out alive and prime, and as refreshing as they ever were.

Thanks very much, Gorthi. Lydi**
Sometimes I close my eyes and go back to a memory. It can feel as though I'm there; sensations, smells, old thoughts. I like how you described the intensity of a memory. Just like a peach

Tempting, beautiful and wonderful poetry.
"soft as velvet yet wielding an unrivaled intensity

The above lines are so good. Imagination and building of want make the place of touch and kiss. Alive and filled with positive energy. Thank you Lydia for sharing the amazing poetry.

Love the art... The haircut ... In auburn and magenta black.
Electrified intimacy... soft as velvet yet wielding on
unrivaled intensity...
That day was a flower blooming ...

Yep, what Papaya says. :)
You end on the perfect word to describe the whole piece Lydi, your words and the memories they induce electrify. Would like to say more, but I'm getting static shocks jumping out of the screen. :)
ps....Thanks to Papaya Ana for sending me the read request on this superb piece also.

You're welcome Lydi! :)
love "tomorrow was a naked page"

as if foreseen that the skin will remember tomorrow's intimacy---

a memory that never stops and will still be there for many tomorrows.
