kiss me

kiss me

A Poem by Lydia Shutter

the world is crazy
so don't hesitate
kiss me
take off that mask you wear
see me
for who I really am
fanciful and whimsical
hold my hand
follow the pathway of stars
to the pot of gold
then kiss me
like it's the end of the world

Lydi... the pathway to Stars in your photo
is that "touch" of the divine as though your
poetry is more positive than anything we
could read or hear in the Media. You are the "hope"
in the Corner of Pandora's box. I find your poem to
be a "locket of endearment" to embrace romance
'as if it were the end of the world'. gently, Pat

Thank you very much, Pat. Yes, we must embrace romance whenever we can. Lydi**

How true, Cassie. Thanks for the visit. Be well. Lydi**
Or regret it for the rest of your life.
We do always find a reason not to take a chance, and I wonder how many during lockdown wished they had taken that final chance before the world decided to get all upside down and back to front.
And how many of them will take that chance if it comes round again? It could lead to another generation of baby boomers if all goes well... I mean goes to plan. 😀
But spare a though for all those unlucky souls who had a first date planned before the world shut up shop. They will quite rightly think the world is against them and they are jinxed.
That kiss, just like your words, leave us all looking forward to the next one. 😀

Dying for a kiss. Who can resist a wonderful lip snacking kiss? Many will take a chance, hoping it won't be their last. Oh for days pre-covid Lydi**. We didn't appreciate the freedom we had. A poem for the times. Lovely piece of brevity and look at your posted image. That pout looks most kissable.

Unfortunately, yes, you are right.
nothing like a kiss, and if it were to be the last one...what a way to die.
love it, Lydi.

I was a bit reminded of J. Frank Wilson...."I held her close I kissed her our last kiss, I found the love that I knew I would miss"---

wow... this is the kind of love poem that is so befitting of the moment.. no frills but still retaining a decency that commands respect.. Hell yeah.. let's pretend the end is nearer than it might well be.. lets all get naked and ..... well okay let's start with a few little pecks on the cheek and work our way from there... x
