Under Pressure

Under Pressure

A Poem by Lyndsay Castro
"

A different kind of pressure

"

So hard to push this pain away

It swells in waves too hard to bear

My effort and my nerves are frayed

I long for when I had no cares

But now I'm under pressure, pain

My hands shake and sweat and try

To forget the time when I had gained

And never lost, the time I could fly

The sun shines through my window, bright

Yet my souls migraine turns away

Why can't I shrug off my small plight?

I can't ignore this pain today

I agree with Dionysus. I feel you pushing one way and than other. It felt like there may have been two poems combined in this one. Nice write and yes, a very interesting read.

'The sun shines through my window, bright
Yet my souls migrane turns away'

I love that part. =]

Though you spelt migraine wrong, if you mean like a headache. =] I thought it was a great poem and you captured and tamed pain in word form. Kudos to you.

We all are always under pressure for all kind of reasons and they just never stop. We can't ignore the pain, because we still think of them...

Other than that, it's still pretty small piece, yet it means many great deal, so it's all good tho...

I'm so sorry about the fibromyalgia. I think your poem is nice-- although the words are a little bumpy in spots, you do an outstanding job of getting your message of pain across.
