UNBROKEN IMAGE

UNBROKEN IMAGE

A Poem by Lyrical Love
"

THERE ARE EXPERIENCES IN OUR LIVES THAT WE WISH WE COULD ERASE...but then we wouldn't be as refined as we are now without them

"

Strength and sweet innocence seen in our meeting
Opened my eyes to see her differently
A cracked image I mirrored to you
For the first time I wanted her to be new
I wished that every time I witnessed his Glory
You were there to be in the story
I wish that you could have been her first kiss
An object for her affection and total bliss
The matrimonial experience untold
You donning the tuxedo
on top of mountain of cake, you I would see
Graciously awaiting her, your bride to be
Talitha cumi interpreted as Damsel arise
In His eye’s you are still the greatest prize
The blood cleanses you so,
                             You are white as snow
So perfect you appear
For him in the mirror.

Strength and sweet innocence seen in our meeting

A cracked image I mirrored to you
One of the few things that is always true is we all have cracked images of ourselves and others.
I think you put it down well, the way expectations get in the way of what should and not what could.

This reminded me of ...
1 Cor 13:12 "For now we see through a glass, darkly, but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known."

I had to read it three or four times to try to get what I think is the full meaning you intend. But sometimes I am thick headded about things like this.
Reading the first two lines for example I was wondering...
Have you met God or yourself when you opened your eyes to see her (yourself?) differently?

A very impressive and deep subject and I liked this very much.

"So perfect you appear.
For him in the mirror..."

Nice, and you're right, where would we be if it weren't for the bad things that have happened to us. It only happens to make us stronger.

This I feel is speaking to the antisipation of every young bride. Is he as perfect as the groom dressed in his finery on top of the cake. Will he measure up to what she needs an unbroken image or will he be human with all the faults of a human man.

However, this part leaves me with the image of the Savior and she wanting to be the unbroken image in God's mirrored soul and to see herself through God's eyes.

The blood cleanses you so,
You are white as snow
So perfect you appear
For him in the mirror.

This piece took me in so many directions, but always seemed to come back the disire of bing one with the Lord.

Beautiful Read, a Really Beautiful Read

Good Job!

We build and grow. Those aren't flaws . . . but badges of character. Great write.

living life with no regrets is probably one of the hardest things to do...everyone has them and we are left to live in the world of "what if"...however, to "realize" and to survive the suffering provides an inner strength

"A cracked image I mirrored to you
For the first time I wanted her to be new"...your word choice is impeccable...I love how this is expressed

your use of rhyme allows your thoughts to flow very nicely...you use the mirror very creatively to reflect on the moment...your title shows expresses your writing talent

ARTISTICALLY EXPRESSED...I enjoyed reading this poem very much!

What a way to acknowledge your discovery in you. This is a great write. Your collection of work is worth sitting down and reading everything at once. There is journey being told that is worth any price of admission and we (readers) get to watch it for free. God I love this country! Please continue to grown in your direction and reserve me a seat for every single ride. Even if you are going nowhere it is somewhere for us!

All pain is necessary for present strength. Beautiful flow of words with a powerful message.

Props for your biblical reference to Peter and Mark.

Great write. Many Blessings.

Another piece that makes me think and feel... your words ring out loud and clear to me, that we may not always get what we wanted but we will find what we need... so astounding is your wording and insight.
