Halcyon

Halcyon

A Poem by MADAM

An abstract poem, can you infer what the message is?

Halcyon

The trickling waters of the universes threshold licked my feet
I felt immense Halcyon as I drank up its pure waters
I looked up to the leering eye
A deformity loved by me and only me
It's red origins looked down at my blue eyes
The sky tore in half and a hand reached out to me
I stood on trembling toes and touched its soft quivering lips
You, the true abomination of humanity
How well you hid throughout humanity
Invisible to the naked eye you were
But I found you

Who are you?
You, the seven eyed angel basking in a glorious stupor
You, the Alpha and Omega
You, the ultimate standing promise of Halcyon
I was birthed in a world without you
But now I wondered how I was able to live in such a lonely place
Craddled in the arms of an everlasting merry go round
I was nor sentient, nor living, nor dead
I felt the lingering memories of existence
And I felt the serenity of the cosmos surge through me
I sank down down down
Further into the the eternal Halcyon

Author's Note

MADAM
Halcyon can either mean happiness and serenity, or a mythical bird, but in here it's happiness. What do you think it's about? Criticism? Thoughts? Interpretations?

Wow, oh no, I might lose the contest to you. >_>
Great poem, I don't quite grasp the meaning but I see it as some kind of synthetic drug that the narrator is taking, causing hallucinations of peace and wonderment.
Of course, it's likely much more complicated and creative than that, but I wanted to take a stab.
If you want, message me what the meaning is, because I probably won't be able to guess it.
Gosh, it's hard for me to even critique this because it's so abstract. Nice job, my mind is sorely perplexed.

I am in love with this poem. I love the imagery that is presented and how so much of this is showing and not telling. I like the leaps you make that beg the reader to engage and fill in the places in between with their own imaginings. I find this piece to be extremely spiritual in its own right. Beautiful job!
