Tonight I thought we'd dance

Tonight was to be ours…

 

You left me high and dry

A bottomless pit in my heart 

A mind screaming logic

And a heart that ignores all 

 

I searched for you in the crowds

I hoped to catch a glimpse of you

I found you nowhere 

Tonight, you broke my heart 

 

Take away this longing 

Speak some sense into me

I'm drowning in sorrow

For things that cannot be 

 

Tonight, can you fix things ? 

Tonight, can you hug ? 

Tonight, can you hold me?

Tonight, can you love ? 

 

I miss dancing with you 

I miss you ..... tonight 

The whole world has stopped for me

Can you hold me, tonight?
