Your Poor, Sweet Bones

Your Poor, Sweet Bones

A Poem by MCO

It sucks you up and consumes you in one bite.

It tosses you around for a while in its mouth,

Sucking on your poor, sweet bones.

It chews and chomps

But soon finds you distasteful.

It spits you right out, back into the day,

Beaten and vulnerable.

You’re half-eaten,

half alive, half conscious.
