What am I waiting for?

down the drain,

listening to the rain,

I climb out

hoping I could see the light,

it was just rain,

I couldn't stop the tear drop,

was it the end of me,

was I about to give up

or should I not stop,

I had so much pain

but how I break the chain,

life was hard

but I had the chance

and I wanted change,

what am I waiting for?

was it because of fear?

what was I scared of?

is fear really my enemy

or I'm just an enemy of myself?

what was I to lose

if I had tried,

I shouldn't have cried,

don't stop until you win,

put yourself all in,

the best chances come

when you give it your best,

it doesn't cost you anything to try

but you cost them for your service,
