Darling

Darling

A Poem by MOON

Colours blend take on a different hue

Standing on a hill with a jaundiced view

I remember you were like morning dew

A dancer on stage an actor on cue

Tossing of a coin all shiny and new

A graceful eagle wingspan as it flew

So why was it that my love never grew

Darling I knew, you too good to be true

Short and sweet MASTERED! You've captured the feeling of love and sadness and put them into words.

This is a beautiful poem! I really liked the iea of "a jaundiced view", I've never heard that before and I think it's really clever. :) The last two lines are really special as well. They round off all the imagery in the first 6 lines, put them all together and make sense of them.
One tiny error - shouldn't that be 'you are' or 'you were' in the last line?
Great work!

This says so much in a short space...the images seem disconnected but by the time I got to the end, it all made perfect sense, if that makes any sense haha 100 in any event :)
