A Moment In Time

 

You are just a moment in time then you are gone

Every blood dripped second held by fragile fingers

Hope calling you to rouse from the deep to the dawn

The sound of your life blood flowing as it lingers

 Waltzing silently with haunting thoughts in your head

The truth be told you are only once on this stage

So stand strong in your space don’t be the one that fled

A second of glorified ink on the blank page

Shed all that layers of tattered wounds from the self

Grab the crumbs falling from the soul that speaks at night

Banish all that black sorrow in which you have dwelt

Make it the currency that is the fuel for flight

 When the silver tolling bell sounds deep in your heart

You don’t fear an end you left footprints in your wake

 Life has been lived and you were the essential part

You were the splash in the placid silky smooth lake

 

Yes all we are is that nano second in time

When the earth heaved just a moment for us to shine
