Memory

Memory

A Poem by MOON

It's three years now

The curtain call

You closed the door

There is nothing more

Do you call my name?

Tell me what's the game

Is there a soul living in an invisible world?

Is their beauty yet to unfurl

It's three years now

I can't fathom how

You left me here

I love you dear

Will you hold my hand again?

Is there life when the road bends

And love does it live beyond time

In infinity are you still mine

At every dawning of the day

My love I pray

That you will know

I call your name

It's three years now

I see you still

Like a falling star

Glittering as you always are

When the sun sets in flame

All the beauty I frame

Part of me, a gripping pain

Our love never wanes

It's three years now

As I take a vow

On a full moon night so clear

How I wish you were here

These words absolutely touched a part of me that not many have been able to reach.. I am so sorry for your loss and I pray that he meets you at heavens gate.❤ He is probably around you 24/7. In the simple little "coincidental" things that happen to you sometimes.. The heart goes on. The love never dies.

The questions asked here must be in every heart when death takes a loved one - such a moving and very real need to know, no matter how time has elapsed since that last goodbye, whether our other half hears and is with us in our lonely grief - - my sympathies dear poet and a warm hug of thanks for sharing this painful experience..................... You are welcome my dear friend. I read again. Powerful and honest words.

I can understand, as I'm sure everyone who visits can. the why and the need to commit these thoughts and feelings to something of permanence .. and where better or more permanent that here....so very sadly, but thoroughly enjoyed...

You really are most welcome & you too Moon :)
A beautiful poem of love and loss that tugs at the heart's strings. Much yearning here for someone greatly missed and still very much loved. Very nicely conveyed Moon.

Many thanks , take care.
I can never collect the right words to express how I feel about the many that I have loved and lost over the years. I never find the right words to express my condolences for others that have suffered in this way. I have not lost a soulmate to death, just in connection and I think that's not quite the same in my empathy. I suppose that makes me a bad poet never to tackle this subject... some day I hope to find the words. But I can say that the ones that I have lost are never gone from my heart I always take effort to remember them for they are a part of me now. This is beautiful sad poetry Moon and I am sorry for your pain

Thanks Robert , loss is painful through death or otherwise..take care
So a beautiful, tender, aching rhythm flows through your words. It is so hard to let go... for some in our lives, it's impossible.

The loss of loved ones never gets easier with time. The simplest thing can bring back memories and make us feel melancholy. A deeply powerful poem.

Thank you.
You express words that resonate with me. I've had friends die and I've often wondered where they are, if they visit us, if they hear us.

I can sympathize with your thoughts and offer my condolences.

Many thanks so appreciate
May your sadness echo the hope to come when you unite together in a better place. May your grief be brief so you can continue life with vigor and vitality. Very touching.
