What I've Lost

What I've Lost

A Poem by M. Lay

Its easy to forget me

The past I left behind

I hated what I was

And too often crossed the line

Its a matter of of my living

Not settling to survive

Survival is too simple

To really being alive

I've lost my final memories

Of what I was before

Before you came to get me

And pull me off the floor

Now I'm stuck in twilight

Bitter and as sweet

I lost my greatest feature

To stand on my own feet

So tell what I'm thinking

Tell me what is true

Tell me why I'm dying

With or Without You

This is good work. I could feel the confusion and the pain. You showed real promise in this one Mick
